Wisconsin Music Educators Association (WMEA) is the federated state affiliate to the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). These organizations appreciate all that you are doing for your students because their well-being comes first, and both want to support our educators with quality resources. WMEA will be unveiling several tools and resources in the coming weeks that will support Wisconsin music educators with the important conversations they will be engaging in with parents, principals, school administrators, and fellow colleagues. The following resources are recommended at this time as they will support the work that we will need to do right here in the Badger State:
- “Keeping Music Education Strong: Updates on Back-to-School Protocols, Funding Realities, and Advocacy Response” (recorded webinar from NAfME and the NAMM Foundation)
- Preparing for the End of the 2019–2020 School Year (a discussion with Music Program Leaders)
- Instrument cleaning guidance from NAfME, NFHS, and NAMM Foundation
- Copyright Guidelines for Distance Learning
- Music Education Policy during a Global Pandemic (recorded NAfME Advocacy webinar)
- Virtual learning and professional development resources selected by NAfME Societies and Councils
